We were very fortunate thi
s week (Week 8 of Term 1) when 4 players from the Carlton Football Club came to NFPS and spent some time with our Grade. We met Chris Judd, Dylan Buckley, Cairan Byrne and Tom Bell. The guys were great! They did some handball and kicking drills and then we played a pretty interesting game of Poison Ball with the players handballing the footballs through our running students! Then we went back to school and they answered lots of questions about what it’s like to be a professional football player – what they eat, how much they train and how they got into the AFL. This was really interesting for us because Dylan used to be a student of NFPS many years ago.
At the end they signed autographs for us and we really loved meeting these players who were also very nice people.
